He is particularly interested in the management of education technology projects, principal and leadership development/mentoring in education technology and educational strategic planning.
Tony is an experienced, effective, intuitive manager with over thirty years experience in education. He has held many positions focused on driving major change programmes. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of education, especially global education and the role of digital technologies in learning.
He is recognised as an experienced education negotiator and someone able to achieve results.
His education portfolio encompasses a variety of teaching experiences at all levels of education; he has been a primary school principal, university lecturer, education consultant and education project manager. He has worked in state and federal government agencies in Australia and internationally
He has managed a variety of large education projects. His past work includes a number of significant Australian government funded projects. He has also completed projects in the Middle East.
He is a past president of ICTEV, a Victorian Teacher Association and also Past President of ACCE, The Australian Council for Computers in Education, the peek body for ICT in Education in Australia. He served as an elected Director on the Board of ISTE, the International Society for Technology in Education, based in Washington DC between 2011 and 2013 and is currently on the Horizon.K12 Advisory Board.
In 2005 he was presented with the Australian leader of the year in Educational Technology, in 2010, the ISTE making it happen award and also in 2010 was made a Fellow of ACCE. In May 2012 he was made a life member of ICTEV.
